I feel SO SICK after drinking last night, can't get rid of this feeling!?!

Question: I feel SO SICK after drinking last night, can't get rid of this feeling!?
I don't drink a lot, but I don't drink rarely either. I'm somewhere in between... and I have never had this problem. I've never had a hangover or anything, but today after drinking the same as I would any other time, I feel like crap.

My stomach hurts so bad I can't even walk/sit without feeling like I'm going to throw up or go to the bathroom. I had a banana for breakfast, did not help at all. I don't want to eat any more food, do I have to?

I don't know how to get rid of this?

I have been drinking a ton of water. I even drank water last night. I'd drink, then have water right after. Ugh!

Answers:

Most likely you don't have the flu. There have been times when I have had the worst hangovers(usually bc I got supremely trashed) and it actually DOES feel like the flu. The best thing for hangovers is lots and lots of water and sleep. Water rehydrates your system and you won't feel bad once you wake up. Also a slice of toast if you can eat will help. If you have any promethazine around the house(prescription), take 25mg and it will get rid of the nausea.

Hope you feel better!

Been down this road many times

Take a shower.
Take an alka-seltzer (try to keep it down).
Don't move your head around ... don't move it up or down or left or right ... keep it motionless against the back of the chair or a pillow. Part of the nausea is a type of motion sickness (part of that room-spinning thing.) ... moving your head around makes it worse.

Sleep. When you wake up you should feel a heap better.

Usually I have something neutral (not too creamy- like cereal with milk or oily like a cooked breakfast) to eat- like toast and then go back to bed.

Hope you feel better.

Did you drink especially cheap alcohol? That can make things much worse (more headache and nausea). If it was the same stuff you always drink, you're probably sick with something else (food poisoning, flu, etc).

take an asprin or tylenol and keep yourself hydrated. Try to eat but if you cant keep food down keep drinking fluids mostly water

works for me

drink a beer it most of the time helps take the drinking sickness away and then drink flat cola to settle your stomach

Am expression: "Hair of dog that bite you."

Am mean, drink little bit now and buzz make hangover leave
