Yes- I chewed a piece of gum last year from a pack of batman cards from 1988. It was horrible, it fell apart and stuck to the back of my teeth. I had to brush several times to get it out.
It depends, do you mean can you chew a piece forever, or is a pack of gum still good after a couple of years that you just found under a car seat?
Yes, it will stick to the wrapper and you cannot peel it off.
