Is 53 F too cold for the beer to sit in its final bottling stage?

Yes that's too cold. Let sit at room temperature for a bit and start slowly transferring them to a fridge. It gives the yeast a little longer to work it's magic in the bottle
light beer likes cold temps i think.
refridgeration was inveted for beer i heard.
i only made 30 gallons, too much bottle washing i thought.
half of it was pretty good anyway, the other half was not really drinkable, German heritage
