Can someone die from drinking on average, a litre of wine a day, for 10-20 years?!

Question: Can someone die from drinking on average, a litre of wine a day, for 10-20 years?
Answers:

I've done much more than that for 27 years now and am alive and kicking.

I would suggest the correct answer to this is yes for some people and no for others. If the quantity of wine you suggest is lethal then I should have been dead years ago. I am male aged 63yrs and have been a heavyish drinker since I left school at 16yrs. By heavyish I mean in excess of a litre of wine a day on average. My last medical was 5 weeks ago and for the first time it was suggested to me I ease up with the alcohol. For every one of me there will be someone who would have died years ago, I'm quite sure of that. If it's yourself you are worried about your GP can arrange a simple liver test for you which will give you an indication of what's what. Livers do repair themselves providing you let them and don't give them too much hassle! Hope this helps.

Of course not. A litre a day is fine as long as it is accompanied with food.

In fact I would suggest such a regimen will prolong your life so relax and enjoy!

Bottoms Up!

me and i love a drink.

Yes, drinking a lot of alcohol over time eventually drowns your liver, and if your liver goes so will you..you can't live without your liver that's why they call it a LIVEr

It piles up eventually. Alcohol is very fattening, so it could easily come to a blood clot.

it depends on many factors such as age, body weight, gender, etc...
