Does alcohol make you forget things?!

Question: Does alcohol make you forget things?
I know it does the day after you drink, but i wanna know does it affect your memory, long term.

Answers:

After drinking alcohol over a long period of time, meaning years not hours, it can effect the communication of the nerve cells in the brain causing memory loss and personality changes. These effect are irreversible because they are a form of brain damage.

Yes, excessive consumption over short period of time or alcoholism on the long term reduces memory and ability to concentrate.
