I'm assuming most of you are young and would prefer a light beer judging by the first three you mentioned there. In that case, maybe shake it up a bit and try some Labatt Blue from Canada. The Bud Lights and the Millers, etc. are cliche and typical at parties because they're crowd favorites, I guess, but getting your guests to try something different is always a fun thing and it shows you have an imagination other than getting the most highly-stocked thing at the store that everyone else gets.

I am a selective beer trend follower so I will get what the current buzz pushes to a certain degree. I just had Masala Mama India Pale Ale when passing through the city. Pliny The Younger is almost life altering. Southampton Grand Cru is another I like. The are popular now so I have bee dabbing into them.

I love beer. If its craft I love it more. Finding what one is your thing is most of the fun but I like the search too. Go to a local store and begin your own search in the craft section.
