Can anyone tell me where in the UK I can buy a half litre bottle of Tokay...?!

Question: Can anyone tell me where in the UK I can buy a half litre bottle of Tokay...?
I'm told it's very good, and would like to try some. It also happens to be hard to find, and correspondingly expensive..

I would prefer to be able to buy it at a high-street wine merchants' chain and would prefer to pay less than £50.00.

I'm given to believe that "Tokay Aszu" is a good wine for a newcomer to Tokay...

Answers:

Waitrose and Oddbins sell 5 puttonyo tokay Azsu - I have tried about a dozen versions including oddbins very expensive post commie brand ( now as expensive as 1st cru sauterne) and frankly not worth it .. The hungarians export it but dont drink it much themselves. The wine that that made tokay famous in europe was Tokay Essenz or Imperial Tokay and used to be sold in fortnum and mason London - 30 years ago I saw a on offer there a bottle of 1956 Tokay Essenz for 50£ so it will probably be well outside your budget now .

That's that posh Hungarian stuff, isn't it? £50.00, wow, you could get a lot of high quality alcohol induced hallucinations for that. Let me know if it's all you expected it to be. £50.00, Jaisus. £1500.00, holy feck!!!!

I found these...
