Bavik Premium Pilsner has been brewed since the creation of the brewery in 1894. Indeed, the emergence of the Pilsner, only a few decades earlier in Bavaria and Czechia, was one of the main reasons Mr. De Brabandere started his brewery. Read about the history of the brewery on the brewery-page. The Bavik Premium Pilsner has a very strong market in the Southern part of West Flanders and in theWestern part of Northern France. This is in fact the ‘local’ market for the brewery, and this market is still growing at a healthy pace.
Brouwerij Bavik (Flanders) produces a number of beers, and may be better loved for its Petrus ("Saint Peter") line of ales: the Petrus Triple, Petrus Old Brown, Petrus Aged Pale, and Petrus Winterbeer. That said, it also happens to brew one of the best Belgian Pilsner beers on the market -- Bavik Premium Pilsner -- brewed since 1894.

A Note:
Duvel is unique. No other beer is made like it, or tastes like it. Blonde and refreshing like a Pilsner, but with the flavor, depth and complexity of an ale. Duvel defines the Strong Golden Ale category. The beer’s golden hues originate with its Pilsner malts, while Bohemian hops and unique yeast strain add character, intensity, and a certain verve.
Duvel is brewed with pilsner malts but it is a Belgian Pale Ale not a Pislner style beer but the point is taken.

It is a Belgian Pilsner. None of them are particularly noteworthy, although they are very frequenly exported. Look up Duvel Pilsner and Hoegaarden. Really I would try a Pilsner Urquell as it is closer to what a real Pilsner is.
