Dip your pipe bowl into the tobacco. Push the tobacco down lightly with your finger in the bowl. Use about the weight of your hand. Do it again until your pipe is full. Packing it too tight will make it very difficult to keep lit. Some tobaccos are more moist than others and will require less packing.
