What is the difference between glass & crystal?!

Question: What is the difference between glass & crystal?
What is crystal, if its not glass?

Answers:

Good grief what a train wreck of answers. Crystal glasses are just glasses with lead added when they're made. Like you said, they're just a type of glass.

Glassware is either silica glass (old fashioned glass) or acrylic glass (more modern, lighter glass) and is a solid, but not a crystal (silica doesn't form crystalline structures).

Crystal glassware is short for "lead crystal", which really isn't a crystal either, it's just lead added to standard glass when it's being made. It's called "crystal" because it has a higher refractive index and brilliance. Take the higher sparkle level of lead crystal and cut it into fancy facets and you get a really pretty bit of glassware. It's more expensive because it's harder to make and is usually fancier and made to higher standards (clarity, brilliance, decoration, etc).

glass is fully transparent n crystal is nt bcoz glass is glass & crystal is crystal

The practical difference is the price.
