a gallon of water weigh 8.33 pounds,3.785L

We need to know temperature (T) and pressure (P) so we can get an accurate measure of density.

Assuming 1atm and 277.15K (4C) then density = 1000kg/m^3 = 1kg/dm^3

1gallon = 4.55litres

m = density*V = 1*4.55 = 4.55kg

W = mg = 4.55*9.81 = 44.63N

edit: wtf? three TD for giving a decent answer. At least I used the correct units.

weight is a FORCE not a MASS
