I've never been one to drink alcohol and I'm 20...?!

Question: I've never been one to drink alcohol and I'm 20...?
I've done everything else, however. I'm wondering, what does one gain from not doing alcohol? I realize to some this question is mundane and obvious, but to me, who has been a weed smoker/raver, I imagine that not floating my liver somehow affects my overall health? Or does it? Does drinking alcohol really make a difference in one's health? Thanks.

The only thing a person gains from not drinking alcohol financial savings. But you lose out on many happy occasions of the experience of some wonderful alcohol products.

To the troll(s) that claim liver disease from alcohol I say educate yourself and stop spewing BS. Live damage from alcohol only occurs with prolonged (years) of very heavy abuse of alcohol but it also comes from other things such as medication and genetics and other diseases.

I brew my own beer and grow my own pot. So to me drinking and smoking is just another way of enjoyin something I made. I used to just smoke any old weed to get high, but now I can tell the difference between an indoor or outdoor, if it was harvested at the right time, differences in throat hit, smell, taste, etc. I enjoy good weed now as well as the high.

Same goes for beer, I can drink 211 just to get drunk, but I want to enjoy the tastes, smells, mouthfeel...

So your not missing anything if it is not something you enjoy.

Note: I am not much older than you, but with age your palate does change so maybe the taste of alcohol with appeal more to you later.

Not everyone that drinks does it to excess. Most people don't. Did you ever hear of just enjoying some wine with dinner or having some beer with friends during the football game? Why do you need to take it to the point of it affecting your health? Drinking in moderation will never hurt your health at all. By the way, your liver does not "float" in alcohol when you drink it since it doesn't work that way.

things you benefits from - no ascites, bloating, dehydration, hangover, memory loss, hypothermia from passing out in the bath, double incontinence, edema, sepsis, blood poisoning, cirrohsis, jaundice, mood swings

ya i was an alcoholic for 22 years

Anything in excess is bad. If you abuse alcohol, you will look like a meth addict. I think what most people gain from drinking alcohol is a relaxed time and a good chance to socialize.

Well you wont have liver disease for one

DUDE YOUR A PRO!!! Yeah alcohol makes you MEGA HEALTHY!!!!!!!.......
