underage possession of alcohol in virginia?!
I just got my summons for underage possession of alcohol, i was at a party at my friends on new years, their was a fight and the cops were called a little while after. Their were several people there along with me who are 18 and are getting charged with the same thing. I was breathalyzed and i blew straight 0s, they had also asked if i had had anything to drink i said i had 2 or 3 a few hours ago and that was true. None of my friends or i remember the cops reading us our rights. Also i have several juvenile charges that could possibly be brought back up since i got in trouble again. I plan on getting a public defender and im gonna go with, they didn't read me my rights before they asked me anything so hopefully it'll be dropped any advice or anything i can do to prepare would be great thanks

A public defender is a good idea.
Whatever he asked you without reading you your rights should be excluded.
The Breathalyzer is what should count.
As an aside, a few years ago a man was charged with providing beer to a minor.
The beer was Miller Lite. The man's defense was that according to the Liquor Laws in PA
Miller Lite was not BEER!! Because of the low alcohol content of Miller Lite, the judge agreed.
