Do teetotalers find it unfair that drinkers get health benefits from moderate alcohol consumption?!

Question: Do teetotalers find it unfair that drinkers get health benefits from moderate alcohol consumption?
I heard that people who drink (alcoholic beverages) in moderation can get some health benefits. One health benefit is the lower risk of heart disease. Of course, there is nothing wrong with being a teetotaler.

Do some teetotalers get irked or bothered by the news? And to think that this is unfair?

Hi caltam,
Generally speaking, a teetotaler is one who refrains from drinking any alcoholic beverages, but I guess you can call me an ex-teetotaler :D
I've learned to enjoy a glass of wine at dinner or special occasions as I got older. I know of many who don't consume at all. In my own opinion and knowing of many of friends that don't drink, most don't really care about all the drinking "hype"
So to answer your question more precisely, there may be many whom are opinionated re alcohol, but as far as it being unfair, it's just a personal view.
As far as the benefits, it's great that those of us who get total nutrition information thus, knowing its benefits, so drink your Merlot now and then!

Beer has more vitamins - especially silicon - than wine. I also don't know why anyone would drink something made from overpriced fermented fruit, but anyway.

Teetotalers are in despair, wringing their hands, and are in awe with the knowledge the average extremely heavy drinker will outlive them.

My brother does!
We have similar lifestyles, except I drink and he doesn't.
Despite him being two years younger, he has type two diabetes and other health problems, and I am as healthy as an Ox.
