Japanese Knotweed, once that gets a foothold (or should that be roothold) it's almost impossible to get rid of.
Well you obviously can't be asking about the "herbal" kiind of weed, as that would be against Yahoo rules and risk question deletion.
Well, any strand can lose potency depending on it's growing conditions. So I don't think there is a real answer to this...
