Is it illegal to purchase foreign cigarettes online in New Jersey?!

Question: Is it illegal to purchase foreign cigarettes online in New Jersey?
They are not made in the U.S. and they are taxed by the country they are made in. Is it illegal to purchase 1 carton of these cigarettes from a U.S. household in New Jersey? They are for personal use. Thanks.

I'm not sure about state law but if they are flavored cigarettes or clove cigarettes they are outlawed by the federal government.

How much better a cigarette could it be compared to an American brand? It's all tobacco. It's jersey... just walk to the 7/11 on the corner and grab a pack for 5 bucks.
