Does concord grape juice have the same health benefits as red wine?!

Question: Does concord grape juice have the same health benefits as red wine?
Answers:

Unfortunately, resveratrol is not the main component in wine that provides its help benefits. I actually did research on resveratrol at the University of Missouri, and the day I presented my research a study out of John Hopkins refuted resveratrol in wine being responsible for the so called "French Paradox." It is not found in high enough concentrations in wine to have a significant impact. That being said, the antioxidants in grape skins like resveratrol are beneficial to health, and they are found in grape juice as well. They relax blood vessels and are scavengers for free radicals, compounds which can cause cancer.

A previous poster was correct by saying low alcohol consumption is beneficial to health. It is now thought (and widely accepted) that the relaxation of blood vessels that is good for the heart is actually caused by the alcohol itself. 1/2 oz of pure alcohol a day (eg a glass of wine, a beer, a shot of liquor) has been shown to increase longevity.

Enjoy your grape juice, but there is no juice that prevents cancer. The POM company was just sued for false advertising for saying their pomegranate juice does.

The health benefits come from resveratrol, which comes from the skins of red grapes. More grapes are used to make a gallon of red wine than a gallon of grape juice, as grape juice is 90% or more water. No water is added to red wines.

Brother is a vintner of red wines, about 1,000 cases a year.

No
Grape juice is mainly water and sugar
While red whine does have alcohol in it, alcohol has been shown to be healthy for you in MODERATION a.k.a. 1-2 glasses a day. So red wine is a win/win over grape juice as long as you're not polishing off a couple bottles a day.

My brain

No . but it also doesn't have the detrimental effects of alcohol.

it is more benificial than red wine.
