how can i make myself like beer?!

Question: How can i make myself like beer?
its not that i want to make myself like it because everyone else drinks it! i can't drink coolers or hard liquor, it upsets my stomach. so i was hoping that if i made myself like beer, then i could actually drink with my friends. i do lke drinking and use to always drink but over the past year its always makes me sick.

I used to HATE beer, but I just kept trying and trying it until eventually I got the taste for it.

Try a pale ale or an Irish Red ale like Killian's if you really want to drink beer. But in my experience, it's just not worth it. If I'm going to a party where there's going to be beer, I pick up some IBC Root Beer to take with me. They look just like beer bottles and nobody will know. I do that all the time. Getting shitfaced drunk just to be drunk and/or to fit in isn't worth the hangover, the damage to your insides and the puking to me. If your friends pressure you, then I would find some new friends who share non-alcohol related interests with you. Not everyone drinks beer. I'd rather spend my money and calories on cheescake or really good ice cream!

hmm, tough question! I personally don't like beer. I tried to like it, but the truth is the taste is just sour for me. If you use to be able to drink it and no longer can because it upsets your stomach, then maybe the beer is too acidic.(does that make sense?!) Does anything else upset your stomach? or you can try to accustome your body to it once again, by trying to start off with a light beer and so forth.

You're probably drinking the American megabrews that your friends are having. Instead, ask the bartender what he has in the way of bock or wheat beer (I'm partial to hefeweisen, myself). These are maltier beers than the American standards, much less bitter. One warning, especially if you are drinking doppelbock, don't try to match your friends drink for drink.

Beer is an acquired taste, you need to keep drinking it until you get to like it. For some people, it isn't worth the bother. I don't advocate that you party just because your friends do and you don't want to be left out of being foolish with them, but you could try apple martini's, cosmo's, or just smoke dope.

Don't worry about what others are drinking.....drink what you like.....even if not alcohol....not a big deal.....a group always needs a designated driver, so if you are not a drinker, you can be the go to person for that....and still have a great time with your friends......if you do not like beer, nothing you can do to make it taste better to you.....

Why can't you just drink a drink that you actually like with your friends? Why would you even consider figuring out ways that you could like something that you don't when there are so many other drinks out there that can suit your taste.

I don't get it.

If you don't like something don't force yourself to drink it
Pop some Tums, Pepto Bismol, whatever before you drink and drink what you like
Drink to have fun not put out the sun

My brain

If they still make Rolling Rock give it a try, it tastes like club soda.
Add a splash of 7-up to make a shandy.
The real answer is don't force yourself to pick up a habit you could regret

Hmm, Idk, i love beer naturally and can't imagine not liking it. I'm sure if you drink it enough you will start to like it.

Listen to your body. Actually, you would be better off and it's cheaper and healthier sipping iced water while others are guzzling beer.

Just drink red wine - the best red wines are always from Italy & France

look at the bottle and you'll see where it came from
the typical best red wines are $10+ of typical 750mL

Just keep drinking... same for wine same for vodka and others. You will start to see difference but for enjoying you should know your limi..anything even water if you drinking more than limit will bother you

You can't make yourself like something.

Try drinking it with food. But don't force anything

eww
