Question: Low fat alcoholic drinks on a night out, which are best?
Started eating sensibly, what are the best and worst types of alcohol on a night out?

PS. I love wine ;-)

Answers:

Any alcohol is bad on a diet. Beer is the worst however.

Beer is packed with tons of carbohydrates that your body will convert to fat.

Hard liquor, like whisky or vodka is best. They contain no carbs but do contain "empty calories" that your body will burn before anything else. At least with hard liquor you arent packing on pounds, you are just preempting it to burn off the alcohol before any other carbs.



Wine is low fat for sure and tastes great, offers so many varieties. Stick to it.

Beer literally gives you a beer belly. I got one and took one year to recover.

The thing is, beer is such a nice social drink. Wine is alright when others also drink it with you.



Wine is pretty fattening, beers, largers, ciders are also fattening, the best low fat drinks are vodka based alcho pops or vodka and diet coke :)
