pour warm water on the label and tear at it

Put warm water in a towel lined sink (to keep the bottle from breaking). Add the wine bottle and soak for a while to loosen the label. After it has softened take a butter knife and begin scraping off as much label as you can. Then spray with WD-40 and continue scraping until the label and sticky residue are gone. Wash bottle in warm. soapy water, rinse and dry.

I soak the bottles overnight in warm water. The labels usually fall off. The foil labels might require a solvent, though.

boil the kettle and moisten the label, the steam loosens the glue and carefully peel the label off.

Cover the label with mayo, let it sit for a few hours then scrape off with a piece of plastic

warm water for the label, then if theres a sticky residue, white spirit or vinegar

Try using Goo-Gone.
