Get over it.
If you dont like when people drink, don't go to the parties.. Just hang out with them when they're sober.
I have to disagree with most of the answers here. Im 16 years old, male, and I enjoy getting drunk with my mates. It helps me have a night off from worrying about my issues in life, and makes me feel relaxed, comfortable and warm inside. I can trust all of my mates completely to keep an eye on me - one mate is usually the sober driver for the night. For me its just having a night of fun, thats all.
ME.
Well, at my age they drink because it makes them look "cool" or "mature".
Which is obviously completely untrue, as they actually appear less mature than normal.
I think it makes sense to have a bit of alcohol, like for the actual taste of the drink, and it helps you relax. But getting drunk is just stupid...
I dont like being around drunks either, and in the future the way things are going you can add weed smokers to the list because I believe they are on their way to legalize that too! The worse part of that is the smell and seeing people red eyed, burnout, and eating like fools!
yeah, youre right, youre living your life in a healthier way where you do remember everything.
its complicated, i dont find it all too alluring. i dont find it has the same awesomeness of effects on me like it does on everybody else. i prefer weed.
but anyway, one or two drinks to ease yourself into a social siutation aint too bad aye?
Its just a habit following their parent were drinking for nothing,
People drink becuz they can. Don't look down on them just becuz u don't like it. It legal so stop complaining
If you see a stranger, follow them
to forget things or to relax usually.. people that binge or drink all the time though have a problem
Touché..
Wow ur really smart :) Yh I hate alchohol 2... It is ridiculous. Why do people want to do that to their bodies!?
It's an escape for them.
Alcoholic drinks (not sure about beer) but all alcoholic drinks kills the germs around the mouth and throat and lower the risk of having dental problems / applies for [18+] (in moderation of drinking) - [in philosophy & history] alcohol preserves the juice from the grapes such as ''Red Wine" - Foods in the early days are very rustic and they contain very high contents - therefore the mouth gathers all these elements creating a foul breath when having a conversation with another person - therefore alcoholic beverages are fit - They come in different types and taste for every people to enjoy - they can make you ''smashed'' or drunk - ''drunkenness" gives a very neutral euphoria to the brain that conjures and blocks ''mental stress'' in short term period. Alcohol increases blood flow and ease stress. Alc./Ethanol lower the risk of diabetes.

some people like to get drunk. i love the science and history of wine and beer. i love how things are made and what seperates the good stuff from the cheap. i love the taste of a good beer and of good wine. i truely enjoy these things in moderation.
and remember, you are 21. in 10, 20 years hopefully your friends wont consist of drunken morons. people grow up and learn the difference between Bud Light and Aventinus. alcholol is a totally different thing for me now than when I was 21. like pretty much everything else.
good for you and i congratulate you. and i do not mean that condescending or in any way sarcastic.
neither do i understand it. that does not mean i do not drink. a glass of wine with food, a beer to relax after work ( i am german..) a southern Comfort with ginger ale, it gives me pleasure. and that's where it should stop. it should give you pleasure but not make you brain dead and drunk like an idiot.
might that be peer pressure or youngsters might want to show they are 'cool' and can 'hold their drink' or for whatever reason. one should have a video camera and film these drunk episodes and behaviorss. and let them watch it when they are sober. that for sure will cure them for good.
45 years hospitality industry and i see the, often tragic, results of alcohol every day.
