Do you recommend cooking with beer?!

Question: Do you recommend cooking with beer?
I got these recipes that I've been wanting to try. I've never tried to cooked with beer before. What is the difference? More flavor?? Do you recommend cooking with beer?

Answers:

The difference between cooking with beer and cooking without it is that you add some beer. The difference in taste can be minimal or pronounced, depending on the beer used. Generally, the food will be tenderized a little with the beer. I would not recommend using your best beer for cooking any more than you would cook with a Chateau Lafitte-Rothchild. But it is well worth trying. Try a boeuf carbonade with a good dark beer. Fork-tender and oh-so-tasty.

It adds a little flavor, but not much. Depends on what kind of beer you use. As far as the difference, I'm not sure. I have a recipe for Fish and Chips and it calls for beer and it is really good food. So yes I would recommend you try your recipes.
