To you drinkers who drink responsibily every once and a while: would you drink if there wasn't any alchohol?!

Question: To you drinkers who drink responsibily every once and a while: would you drink if there wasn't any alchohol?
in the beer/wine your drinking? I ask this because I saw some guy saying something along the lines of "alchohol tastes good, doctors perscribe a shot of whiskey to clear something(I forgot what he said there) and he said that pot smokers wouldn't smoke pot if it didn't get you high but alchohol drinkers who drinnk like 1-3 beers drink it because they just enjoy it. I mean first of all... not everyone likes the taste of alchohol I myself dislike it and... really would you drink a beer if it didn't have that mind altering addictive substance in it known as alchohol? No, proboly not. And if you drink to the point where you dont even feel any effects from the alchohol at all, does it matter if it has alchohol in it, but has the same taste? If you say yes then you are immature and really are only drinking because somewhere deep in the back of your mind, you must think drinking alchohol is cool because its alchohol.

I don't think so. Non-alcoholic beer and sparkling grape juice would be rising in sales if that were the case.

When we say it tastes good, I include the alcohol in that comment. That slightly acidic harshness in a good glass of red wine is what I enjoy about the wine. Remove the alcohol and you remove much of the acidity. Also don't forget that yeast plays an integral part of flavoring beverages. Yeast makes alcohol as a biproduct. If you remove yeast from the equation then you change the flavor. I

There are plenty of people who like the taste of beer. It's like coffee or tea. Some like it, some don't.

P.S. You're a moron.

Why drink with no alcohol? That is like having sex with a tree. I do enjoy the taste of ale, seeing as I don't drink sugary juice crap or coffee.

That is the most convoluted question ever. And I think you're trying to answer your own questions.

I drink whisky because I like the taste and the effect of a few drinks. I drink wine with meals and beer with friends. I don't get smashed. If there's nothing around that I like the taste of, I'll go get something or simply skip drinking, it's not a big deal. The effect AND taste are important. There are no good non-alcoholic wines or beer, as far as I know, and certainly no non-alcoholic Scotch. So it's a package deal.

Lol.

Doctors prescribe whiskey? LOL...yeah, in the year 1870.

I drank non-alcoholic beer when I was pregnant because I like the taste of beer...yes. Plus, the hops helps produce breast milk.

IF you don't understand how someone could enjoy the taste of beer or liquor, its because you're a kid and your taste buds haven't developed to enjoy things that aren't sugary.

First off it's alcohol not alchohol. Second off, most people who drink, drink to get drunk. The term is called binge drinking. A lot of younger adults such as college students do this at parties. Essentially, the people don't care about the flavor or what drink they are drinking, as long as it has enough alcohol to get them drunk. But not everyone binge drinks. On occasion, some people drink socially or drink just to relax. Other people drink cause they like the taste of it and could careless about the alcohol content. Some people do both, they binge drink and at other times they drink socially. There are people in the country who sample different beers and alcoholic beverages and rate it based on flavor not alcohol content. Saying people are immature cause they won't drink if it doesn't have alcohol is stupid. About 90% of drinkers love drinking just to get drunk, it's quite normal in America. It's a drug and it's fun. Others on the other hand just like if for the taste and flavor it really all depends on your preference.
