21st Birthday Party ID?!
I am turning 21 this Saturday, and I had a big day planned, with going to the Casino and gambling a bit, having a large party with drinking at Hooters, and going to the bars afterwards, but I just recently realized that I may not be able to do any of this. I have my normal vertical ID, and I will go to the MVD that morning to get a new ID, but I don't know if they are going to give me a temporary, paper one, or if they can give me one that will allow me to buy drinks? Help! I don't want my plans to fall through!

Present both your new paper ID (the temporary one you'll get at the license branch) and your old probationary drivers ID. They see people every night of the week that just turned 21. They should be fine with it.
they'll give you a new card. the temporary paper ones are just for when you get your drivers permit.
As long as you have proof that you're 21 you'll be fine. I don't understand exactly what you're so worried about.
Even if your license or ID says "Under 21", it has your birth date on it.
