I am hosting a moms only night and having a bloody mary bar, what appetizer type food would go best?!

Question: I am hosting a moms only night and having a bloody mary bar, what appetizer type food would go best?
Im thinking there will be 10 to 15 people, so I will need at least 5 different ideas. I am a fairly good chef, so "fancy" things are appreciated also! Thank you!

these are good.... 'nuff said

Clam-Ups

1 can (6 ? ounce) minced clams
2 tbls diced onion
5 tbls butter or margarine, divided
3 ? tsp all purpose flour
? tsp prepared horseradish
? tsp garlic powder
? tsp Worcestershire sauce
Dash salt
9 slices white bread, crusts removed
Paprika

Drain clams, reserving juice: set aside

In a skillet, sauté onion in 1 tbls butter until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add horseradish, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt and reserved clam juice. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in clams.

Flatten bread with a rolling pin. Melt remaining butter, brush 1 side of each piece of bread.

Spread with clam mixture and roll up, brush with remaining butter. Cut roll into thirds, place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 425 for 5-8 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm. Makes 27 appetizers.

Can be assembled ahead of time and frozen before baking.

Best dip I have ever had, from a former mother in law

Helen’s Bread Dip
This really is good

1/3 cup light mayo/salad dressing
1 ? cup fat free sour cream
? # lean corned beef, chopped fine
2 tsp beau monde spice
2 tsp dill weed
2 tbls chopped onion
2 tbls dried parsley

Mix all together and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

I loaf of round, pumpernickel bread. Hollow out the bread into a bowl, cutting the pieces into dipping size. Put the dip into the hollowed out bowl.

Note: Beau monde spice is difficult to find. An acceptable substitute is Celerbration, available online from www.obiecue.com

and I've been making this for over 30 years, many times by request.

with a bloody mary bar, you are salt high. go with things that will work with that. shellfish. cheese. a roasted meat, not smoked. some sweet options, .....choclate. Now I'm thinking greek......

hmmm... trying to think of things that would go well with Bloody Marys. For some reason, fish and shellfish come to mind. Maybe Oysters Rockefeller?

Simple finger foods are great. Pepperoni rolls are always a hit: http://www.squidoo.com/pepperoni-rolls
