How do i tell if my drink has been spiked?!

I think the prevalence of drink spiking has to be one of the biggest myths ever.

People get pissed out of their skulls > behave reprehensibly > Sunday morning claim their drink was surely spiked. There is such a huge swathe of the (usually female) populous saying so, that it's surely an epidemic?

I reckon out of every thousand tales of spiking, maybe, at a push, 1 person has been truly affected. Apart from anything else, the logic and likely success of any supposed 'spiker' is just so remote it's laughable. Or maybe there really is a secret army of men going out spiking bottles of WKD across the land ~ all 15 bottles that said victim necks before passing out, wakes up Sunday morning with knickers on head claiming drink must have been spiked...

If the 'drink' in question is fruit juice or water, and you still end up vomiting half naked into a wheelie bin then maybe...it's seems surprisingly rare to happen to people who haven't drunk alcohol though.

@SS4 - Woah hold on I'm only commenting on people getting drunk and not taking responsibility for it - rape accusations whether false or not, are another matter with many more variables than just getting pissed and trying to shift the blame on 'spiking' !

You can't.

You should never leave your drink unattended not even leaving it with a friend!! You are more likely to get rapped/attacked by a friend or relative than a stranger!!

If you have left your drink then I would go buy a fresh one or finish it before I have to leave it anywhere to go outside or to the toilet!!

I have seen 2 of my friends on one night get spiked, they acted very very weird one I had to take home early and the other was OK till closing time when she acted weird and her pupils where like golf balls. Later I found out that my other friend who I took home kept on doing weird things at home and no one had seen him like that before!! Both had no clue what happened the next day and they both said they did not even drink much, lucky the rest of us where fine!!

There was a drug going around that stuck to the glass even after a wash and the club was forced to shut down till they replaced all of the glasses!!

I'm pretty sure my drink was spiked at a bar a few months back. The next day I slept until 2 in the afternoon, and felt like I had taken a bunch of tylenol pms. I don't remember getting home the night before and felt like hELL the next day.

Drugs? Not without a portable lab. You could try one of these http://app.drugtesting-kits.com/cf.inven… But you'd have to find some drugs to test it with to see if it's reliable at testing drugs in alcohol... chemically, I don't see why it wouldn't though.

@Mymble - don't forget that sometimes they will accuse a perfectly innocent man of spiking it, the media will judge him guilty and even if the court doesn't he still has to skip town
