Question: What do you look for in a wine website?
I just started one and I was curious what the public was interested in, content wise.

Have you started a website or a blog and what is the purpose of the site?
I have a wine blog and review wines from the perspective of a novice or amateur wine lover. The blog is a hobby, not a business.
My wife and I started a web site a few years ago using affiliate marketing. Lost money and closed shop.
Much depends on what your goals are and what you are trying to accomplish. To get a good idea, you should visit the more successful wine related web sites and see how they do it.

BTW: my blog is http://whywineblog.com Please visit.

Descriptions of wine, where it came from, the kinds of grapes used. History of the winery and/or vineyards, what appellation the grapes came from, what blend it is. And a recipe pairing for your featured wine.
