Question: Why should carbonated beverages be kept cold?
Decreased temperature keeps gases like carbon dioxide dissolved.
Decreased surface area keeps gases like carbon dioxide dissolved.
Increased agitation keeps gases like carbon dioxide dissolved.

There is no benefit to keeping the beverage cold.

LOL. They don't "have" to be kept cold and in fact are not kept refrigerated on store shelves--it's just most people prefer to drink these beverages cold.



It depends on the beverage and the saturation level you want. CO2 saturation is measured in volumes. Certain beers have much higher levels of carbonation and depending on temperature the pressure needed to maintain that differs.

At a basic level the colder the beverage the less pressure it needs. Likewise the warmer it is the higher pressure it needs. Otherwise it will go "flat" and to some extent loose some of its taste. This is especially true about beer, less true about things saturated with sugar such as soda.



you enjoy drinking if they are cold and coke for example has better taste. If you drink warm coke, is like water with sugar
