Okay, chill, for one.

You just turned 21, and while I'm sure you're not a total novice when it comes to drinking, the number one thing to remember is to TAKE IT EASY!

You've got the rest of your life to drink. Don't try to drink it all in one night. It really isn't smart or safe to get totally blasted all at once... especially if you aren't used to drinking.

That being said, there's a number of things you could try.

If you're into beer, try a beer. I'd start with something like Labatt or Molson, or perhaps Bud, just 'cause. I personally like Smithwicks, or especially Dogfishhead, but I usually go with Smithwick's because it is reasonably priced.

If you want a mixed drink, there's the old Cuba Libre-- or rum and coke (with lime).
Vodka and cranberry juice is a nice standard. (Try it with a variety of flavored vodkas.)

I like a good ice pick-- vodka/iced tea.

I like Hurricanes for fruity and sugary. (See also: Pina Colada)

Seven and Seven.

White Russians (a.k.a. caucasians) which is vodka, Kahlua, and milk, half and half, or cream. (Use 2%, preferably).

Go to something like the Webtender website and look up the drink recipes. It's always fun.

take the soft drinks at at the start up, start drinking from the soft drinks like as wines then beer and then only hard drinks as whiskey, rum, vodka and all.
