The only way it will effect your water intake is how your body deals with it. Pure water is essential for helping the body rid itself of toxins and waste. When you add orange squash to the water you are giving your body extra work as it has to filtrate the squash and all its rubbish out of your system. Squash is synthetic not natural so if you enjoy orange juice try to drink pure orange juice and not squash and drink the water unflavoured if you can. 8 glasses af water taken over the day will keep your 'filtration system' happy and healthy, boosts your energy and makes you feel generally brighter as it helps your body detox.

According to my nutritionist, anything that you add water to counts towards your daily amount. Obviously, water in its purest sense is better but drinking squash won't negate the amount.

Effect it in what way - you will still be consuming water - the squash is only a taste and comprises mainly of water anyway

No, why would you think it will

It shouldn't.
