Question: How do i bring up asking my mum to buy alcohol?

im having a sleepover with my friends there will be 3 of us, and i wass going to ask my mum if we could have a couple of bottles of WKD, we are all 17, nearly 18 (legal age to drink in uk) and we dont normally drink but we wanted to try some... im sure she will be fine with it and my friends parents will too but how do i ask, we will be supervised etc... my mum will be home so we will be safe etc... and wont drink that much, i know its illegal but we are all nearly 18 so i think it would be ok to try some before our birthdays... thank you (please no lecturing,we just want to try it like most teens our age do... we arent going to binge or anything)

i totally get where you are coming from!!im 17 and a half and a couple of months ago i askd my parents 2!what i said was that everyone our age is drinking and even if i could one have or two cans and my parents talked about it and after a while agreed!but you got to explain how you are responsible enough and all that!!and whats the worst that could happen from asking her??good luck :)

Just wait until you (and likewise your friends) are all 18 and get it yourselves.
Until then your mum is doing the right thing by respecting + following the law.
