Wine Making: It keeps over flowing?!

Question: Wine Making: It keeps over flowing?
I making wine in a couple bottles of fruit juice. This is day 2 and its already foamed over like 3 times. I left about 4 1/2 inches of head space for each half gallon bottle, but it keeps over flowing(really messy!). One of them has an airlock and it over flows into the airlock too! How do I stop it and how long will it go for?

Answers:

You are going to have a vigorous first fermentation for a week or so.

After that it should die down to a level where it won't froth over any more

A long time. You have to drain all of it to stop it, or at least the majority. That's what happens when you make wine. Go buy it.
