You can make that replacement without a major change to the foods flavor.
Dry in the world a beer, wine, and spirits just means low sugar content.
Rice wine is a misnomer referring to a rice beer called Sake. Its origins are Chinese but it currently has fame from Japanese influence.

Both white wines and Sake (rice wine) can be dry or considerable sweet especially the white wine. If you taste the wine or sake and it seems sour as apposed to sweet it is dry and should work well in your recipe.

i'm not a cook, but give it a try, if you don't like it, don't do it again.

A light, dry, sherry would be better but as long as your wine is very dry it will do.
