Why do we drink alcoholic drinks?!

People drink for many reasons: to fit in, to lower inhibitions, to lose control, to try to forget their troubles, to feed an addiction, because they like to get buzzed, because they like the flavor, for health benefits, or out of habit. Since you don't like it, and don't like how you feel afterwards, don't do it. If you find that you can't stop doing it even though you don't like it, you have a drinking problem and should seek professional help.

I don't like to drink either, so I don't drink. It saves me money, I've never had a DUI or a blackout, and no one who cares about me as a friend or relative cares that I don't drink. Anyone who feels that their friends need to drink with them in order for everyone to have fun also probably has a drinking problem.

I remember my first beer in college was awful, watered down and served in a plastic cup from a keg. Probably keystone. I'm 24 now and trust me you get used to it, build a tolerance and there are plenty of great alcoholic drinks to experiment with, just be mature about it. I love traveling and trying new beers whenever I get a chance, some are excellent and others not so much. Stronger drinks like gin, whiskey, vodka can be mixed into a variety of things for better taste. I like a good alcoholic drink to relax with, whether watching a movie or socializing I think it helps relax my nerves and feel good. Just drink responsibly and you won't have those problems.

Have you ever been drunk? Alchol is a drug, and as much as people will diss you for getting drunk, getting drunk is the whole point of drinking. Why do people smoke weed? To get high. The same reason why people drink alchohol, to get the euripha high....ie drunk.

However, another more commen reasons is it acts as a social stimulant. Yes it tastes like ****. Yes it costs lots of money. But its not something you drink at home by yourself for the hell of it is it? People drink it at partys or social gatherings, a night on the town. Drinking lowers peoples inobition, allowing them to be more chatty, social act a little more crazy and wild and be less uptight than there usual self.

Many people drink to have a good time. So in esssence, alchohol acts as the social lube that will get things rolling into more fun situations, such as dancing.

I think some body used to drink for the intertainment purpose.
