Is it common to get really drunk the first time you drink then not at all the second?!

Question: Is it common to get really drunk the first time you drink then not at all the second?
Because the first time i drank i had two bottles of Smirnoff Ice and i was off my face - stumbling everywhere, laughing at EVERYTHING. But the second time i drank i had about the same amount but stayed total sober. Is that a common thing to happen?

Answers:

Alcohol definitely has a tolerance factor, but it's not quite so fast.

A lot of factors play into intoxication. Time between drinks, how fast you consume them, and if you have any food in your stomach. Drink on an empty stomach and you get drunk very quickly.

Of course, being drunk is a subjective feeling. If can be enhanced or diminished by the environment, how you're feeling, etc. Try not think about it too much.

Stay hydrated.

two of those drinks would not get you drunk, it would have been all in your mind and that is why you didnt feel it the second time.

A lot of the time your first "drunk" is psychological. You're not actually as drunk as you think you are.

Yes. The second time your body had better immunity against alcohol.
