sierra nevada torpedo vs. pale ale?!

Question: Sierra nevada torpedo vs. pale ale?
whats the difference? one is a lager and ones an ale right? im unfamiliar with what makes one better than the other. ive been drinkin pale ale for 10 years, and soeone is tellin me i shoulda had a torpedo.

Answers:

Both are ales; Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (the one you've been drinking) is just that, a pale ale. Torpedo is an India Pale Ale, which is slightly more alcoholic, much bitterer, and a little bit heavier.

Which is better? It's a thing of taste. Some people enjoy the extra hop flavor, some think it's too bitter. Try it; the worst that happens is you buy a beer that's not your favorite.

Sierra Nevada's regular IPA is stronger / more bitter than their Pale Ale - even though I
like IPA's the SN disappointed me - I prefer bolder ones like Lagunitas, Stone Brewing
and Dogfish; not sure if you'll like the Torpedo you will have to try it + taste for yourself

Buy them both and try them side by side - have a personal taste test.
How do you know my tastes are better/worse they yours?
