Why does beer make me feel sick but I'm totally fine drinking vodka? ?!

Question: Why does beer make me feel sick but I'm totally fine drinking vodka? ?
So last night I only had a pint of beer and it made me feel kinda sick.
I didn't scull it or anything, I took my time drinking it, but after I just felt like I might vomit (I didn't though).
I normally just drink vodka and I feel fine (unless I drink way too much obviously).

Why could this be?

You could be allergic to something like hops or barley.

Beer just may not be your drink. I happen to drink single malt scotches or good bourbon. Not keen on sweet drinks. I am originally from Germany and appreciate good beers. But I simply cannot drink Fosters. not that i don't like the taste, but every time I do, I get sick and vomit. I really don't know why or what is different about Fosters that makes me do this, so I just avoid it. And in Germany beer is not pasteurized. Listen to your body, it will tell you what you can eat and drink, and what it cannot tolerate. Go with what your body tells you.

It may be the ingredients or the brewing process of beer. I have never been able to drink beer. It gives me severe heartburn after just a few sips. I do not have this issue with any other type of alcoholic beverage or soda. I have no idea what causes it, so I just don't drink beer.

Not all drinks are for everybody. Just don't drink beer.
