electronic cigarettes?!

Question: Electronic cigarettes?
How addicvtive and bad are electronic ciggies compared to regular cigarettes?

Answers:

There are no harmful chemicals, tar or carcinogens normally found in tobacco cigarettes. Our ingredients in the nicotine cartridge are safe to ingest and have no ill effects. The e-cig itself does not use a flame so you can’t even burn yourself with it.

Too much info to list. Most replies are unsubstantiated and ridiculous. Nicotine is a poison, actually. However, you could kill yourself with too much caffeine too. E-cigs are a healthier alternative, check some forums for more info as well. Studies have shown e-cigs to be magnitudes safer than traditional cigarettes. Completely safe? no. They're as dangerous as the patch, gum, or nicotrol inhaler. They contain about 8 nitrosamines (same amount in patch, etc) compared to the 4700+ in 1 regular cigarette. (So they contain 99.83% less carcinogenic properties) - Probably safer than breathing the air in Los Angeles.

I've quit smoking using an e-cig as an alternative. Been over a year now. I'm pro-ecig but let's not forget they aren't completely safe. No, there is no "water vapor" either. It's propylene glycol (not to be confused with diethelene or etheylene glycol which is anti-freeze) or vegetable glycerin combined with nicotine extract and (often) USDA Food grade flavorings.

Propylene glycol is the same substance used in fog machines for plays and shows. It is also found in many cosmetics and foods.

They don't have the additives (tar, carcinogens etc) that cigarettes have. All it is water vapor and straight Nicotine. Nicotine hasn't been proven to be dangerous to your health, just addictive. It's not a good way to quit smoking if that's what you're trying to do, but it's a safe alternative to smoking cigarettes. Bonus- you can smoke 'em where cigarette smoking is illegal such as buses and airplanes.

I sell them

Nicotine is the addictive substance. The oral fixation is the psychological habit that is difficult to break. E-cigs are a much safer alternative to cigarettes. Please visit www.vapersforum.com for much more detailed information and a plethora of good advice before you make a purchase. I have not smoked a cigarette since the day I bought my electronic cigarette kit. I also did a little homework first so I got a high quality product that performed well enough to ensure my success. As far as the cost. How much will lung cancer, heart disease, chronic halitosis, and emphysema set you back? The right kit is cheaper than cigarettes even in the short term and WELL worth it in the long.

Been off cigs for 2-1/2 months thanks to these.

They are much better for you health wise and honestly not very addictive however everyone that I know who has tried one, myself included, ended up back on the regular cigarettes. its just not the same, so as a way to stop smoking, not very effective as far as I'm concerned.

there is no clear cut answer to your question. There are still test being done and they have found some good and some bad to the e-cig. Most of what you inhale is water vapor, but there is things added to the liquid. I use both but the e-cig does give me a sore throat at times. As far as if they are addictive, you can work your way down in the amout of nicotine to 0. I use my less often, but it is always there when I need it.

I can tell you that they were a great choice for me.
I think a habit is still a habit, but electronic cigarettes offer a much cleaner solution to cutting back or just wanting to smoke socially.

I smoke ZEROCIG brand. Best Price and Quality I have found in the U.S.

I think not as bad, not as annoying but they have their negative associations. The recharges for them are qute expensive, but I thnk they help with the initial steps toward stopping that disgusting habits.
