California have a good number of vineyard that produces quality red wine for less. Fortunately you have quite a number of red wine to pick from that I'm sure you will love sice California have lots of grape varieites for wine making. You could also make your own wine at home since your in California with lots of grapes, just think of what flavor you want for a wine and pick the right variety of grape for it.
