Im not sure exactly, but I've heard you're suppose to divide your body weight in half and drink that many ounces of water a day. The guesstimate u hear on the internet of how much ur suppose to drink a day is based on a general statistic of an average person, but to get the exact amount, try this method.

I exercise about the same as you and I actually drink about 13-14 cups a day (depending on how intense my workouts are) but when I'm resting I drink about 8
It has nothing to do with how much you workout, you should drink about 2lts a day!
