Beer vs. Liquor: Which is Manlier?!

Question: Beer vs. Liquor: Which is Manlier?
Is it manlier to drink beer or liquor? My friends and I always argue over this. I say beer, they ALL say liquor. We are young (20). I can drink both no problem (Irish-German, eat it Dave), and the one who most adamantly claims liquor is manlier always pukes like the Welsh sissy-man that he is (Dave).

Give me your opinion and your age, as that is important I believe for this type of question.

Answers:

I am 31, and I drink both beer and liquor. Both are manly, depending on what you drink. Vodka with a splash of cranberry is girly. A shot of bourbon neat is manly. A Miller Light is girly. A good imported beer, like St. Pauli Girl or Negra Modelo, is manly.

Depends on what your trying to do. With me I drink to get drunk. Not buzzed. So when I drink it is usually liquor because I can buy a case of beer for the same price and drink all night or I can buy a bottle and get messed up in 10 shots and still have a half bottle for tomorrow night. And it is easy to mix liquor too. Beer has a strange taste to me. I am not a huge beer drinker and I am sure if I drank a case a day i could get used to it but why? There are so many other and more effective options out there why spend more for less alcohol?

Liquor is manlier.
I always like a guy who drinks jack and coke or gin and tonic.
Beer is for frat boys and middle-class men who never 'made it'.
Though if you do have to drink beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon is a classic, Red Stripe is good for parties.
I'm 26, female.

Drinking isn't manly - or womanly, come to that. Stop worrying about what your peers think and start thinking for yourself - which means drinking what you like, not what others tell you to drink.

Don't get me wrong...beer is a manly drink, but whiskey is even manlier.

Jack Daniel's is always a great choice, but Jameson Irish Whiskey is better.

20 huh? I will not answer this question as it might be contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
