How come bars dont use plastic beer bottles and plastic cups?(in case of a bar fight)?!

Question:

How come bars dont use plastic beer bottles and plastic cups?(in case of a bar fight)?

i mean a fight at a bar is almost certain so why do they still use glass?

Answers: the bouncers job is to pick up empty beer bottles, so theres less around.. but youre right, they still get used..
but plastic beer bottles and cups cheapens the establishment. it goes from bar/club to just another frat house with plastic cups.

also, beer tastes better in a bottle, hence why its preffered to beer can.. dont know why it tastes better, but any beer drinker will say the same.. beats me...thats a good question tho. There are always bar fights, it only makes sense that they would use plastic...I guess they dont care about people hurting themselves in a bar fight. That's a very good point, and I know they have them because they use hard plastic beer bottles at concerts since dumb people throw them in the crowd. Beverages are colder and taste better in glass bottles. i'll go consult with moe and jack and get back to you
Manuel maybe cause the plastic contains carcinogens
although it's a real hoot to replace a glass mug with
a plastic one while their in the "bathroom".
the first ones on the house! First the manufacturer needs to make the alcohol available for a reasonable price in plastic bottles or do what Budweiser (bud-light) did and put the beer in metal bottles, like a giant can. As far as cups, I know the bar that I used to work at served alcohol in different plastic cups. One style cup was used for non-alcoholic drinks and the other style for drinks containing alcohol. It all depends on where you are I guess. sounds like you are going to the wrong bar
in a place with a good bouncer and a staff that can spot trouble the fights are not that common.
but i like the bars where there is a chance to see or maybe even get in to brawl are fun to check out.
if you get your beer in a plastic mugg then your going to see some fun if it is a heavy then you are in a place to drink and not start any cramp. it just tastes better in glass. however there's this one place (maggies pub) that does...but only on tuesdays. it gets extremely packed due to '2 dollar tuesdays' and can't serve the masses cause they'll run out of glass cups because not every bar is a dive where people go out to get into fights......there are a good number of bars that DO use plastic bottles though.....

beer doesnt taste as good out of plastic...give me a cold bottle anyday The plastic stuff is more expensive.
