I wonder if some bright spark will come up with a loop hole to get around the smoking ban in pubs?!

Question:

I wonder if some bright spark will come up with a loop hole to get around the smoking ban in pubs?

Answers: i was thinking about that, my local wants to put an outside bar on the roof.

this law is going to be reviewed in 12 months, if theyve lost a lot of money theyle change it back. Hopefully! Like 55 people all renting an upstairs room in a pub and claiming the pub is their home or place of residence and they are entitled to smoke there. All that is posible if they make pubs a private club. i have a feeling that
this law will be repealed
once the goverment
realise how much they are losing in tax
from tobacco I doubt it-they tried to here in Canada and just got fines. I hope they don't-if you smokers want to smoke-take it outside where just you will be affected. Come out and join us pot smokers who have been outside for ever! I tell you I have enjoyed going to the bar alot more since they stopped filling the room with tabacco smoke! cherrie blair is contesting the law as a violation of human rights and is set to take the government to court over it stay tuned the ex first lady is looking for browny points i do belive Hopefully not. A no smoking "section" in a pub or restaurant is like a no peeing "section" in a pool...it all swirls together. Just because some people want to fill their lungs with poison, doesnt mean i want to, yet we dont get a choice. Smoking should be done outside and in one's own home. And not pushed upon others. YAY for the ban! It's been on the go in the rest of the UK for ages and nobody bothers any more. You'll get used to it and it does make a difference. People who are bright know how dumb smoking is. Is it just me? how can an electrician help? I am a smoker but I really hope no loop holes are found. If I want to smoke - I go outside or go without - simple enough choice. But what I don't do is poison others just because I am too weak willed to stop. I don't even smoke at home if my grandchildren are coming round - I go out the garden! If we have family parties the house is declared a smoke-free zone and the smokers go out to the garden - none of them moan or stay away I hope not, it's so nice to be able to go to a bar or eat out and not smell like a dirty ash tray when you leave. Especially to those of us with allergies and asthma. It's great to be able to eat and actually smell our food or drink and enjoy it and not sneeze our head off the whole time! No, they won't. It has worked really well in Scotland. I just smoke outside. Noones ever said anything to me about it. And it helps with the people inside who (as mentioned earlier) don't want to smell like a dirty ashtray.
