How long do I want for a beer that's been shook to settle down and not explode?!

Question:

How long do I want for a beer that's been shook to settle down and not explode?

It just had a bumpy ride home and is a good expensive brand that I'd rather not waste. :D

Answers: um.. i dont know if any of these people saying 30 minutes to overnight have ever had a beer before in their lives. i'd say 2 minutes... and tap it just in case. the key is just opening it slowly. when the beer starts to settle down twist the top off slowly if its a beer can just open it when you hear the his then let it chill for a little bit then open it. Or if its a bottle then do the same thing.. For me the best way for me is if you have a frined there give them the shook up beer and you get great laughs out of it too One hour and 45 minutes should do it. Chilling it for an hour or so ought to do it...overnight would be best though. Actually, all you got to do is: Tap the top of the can with your pointer finger, that way all the air bubbles in your beer will rise to the top and pop in the top part of the can, after about 2 min of this just open it normally, this way the air bubbles are gone and all you hear is a little air escaping and not your beer. Just tap on the top of the can or bottle three times and it should be fine. 30 minutes Tap the top of the can with the church key, put in freezer for 7 minutes, and the co2 will be absorbed, or flash carbonated back into solution known as one ice cold beever.
