is lager a mans drink? no I think it's more a man's drink, but women drink it too. Everything is consider a girls drink if its not beer is not a girls drink!!! No, i'm a girl & I hate cider. Even us Cenobites drink it! Heck no, it's not just a girl drink!
The manliest of the manly men I know not only LOVE hard ciders, they have been known to purchase obscene amounts of apples, sugar, and yeast, toss everything and some water in a (brand new) garbage can, and let that sucker brew until it is insanely dry and strong.
Raise your bottle of cider high and be proud that you are continuing the very manly tradition of consuming alchohol made from anything and everything! I think the popular consent among most guys would be affirmative. Why? That's a completely different question. Maybe because it's sweet, maybe because it's kind of like beer but kind of like a wine cooler (therefore making it like a wine cooler)...
I understand you question and I understand the logic of those who already posted... Of course, anybody should drink whatever the hell they want and not worry about labels, BUT if I was at some kind of "manly" event and I had to, for one reason or another protect my reputation, regardless of whether I LOVED cider or NOT, I would order a beer or a whiskey or something...
...it's sad but it's true... drinking is a social endeavor and we have to have accept the outcome of ridicule over our drink choices... If you are talking about "fermented" cider,like apple or pear,than no ,all sorts of people like it.Ay my resturant I suggest it with heavy foods like chili cheese fries or hot wings.It is refreshing to the tounge and the sweetness balances the hearty and spicy foods.What's Scrumpy?

NO it is NOT a girls drink ,even though girls might put ice in it.If it WAS a girls drink you`d have it in dainty glasses with an umbrella and fruit. No it's a good winter drink. It depends on what cider you drink - some of them are lethal!
I think in USA their idea of cider is totally different from ours in UK & that theirs is something you could give to a child. Any feedback on that from anybody?
