Question:

Why doesn't alcohol above 80 proof freeze?

Answers: 80 proof (40%) alcohol will freeze at -31 C or about
- 24 F it does. you just have to get it cold enough. it freezes but its freezing point is much lower than the ordinary freezers get Alcohol has a lower freezing point than water. Your freezer will NEVER freeze most liquor.

What great is to put a bottle liquor in a cut off plastic milk jug and fill the space around it with water.

Yum! 80 proof alcohol will freeze, it's just at a lower temperature.
