Irish Whiskey?!

Question:

Irish Whiskey?

I only drink mikes hard. I tried irish whiskey with pepsi, whats a good way to mix it? What are other good alcholic things to mix?

Answers: Irish Whiskey is essentially scotch (a few differing elements in the malting stage) and should be enjoyed as such. Either neat or on the rocks, allowing the ice to melt while you sip on it.

That said, it does go well with coffee. Good recipe here:

http://emeraldtiger.com/general/whiskey1... Source(s):
bartender for five years It is a sin to mix anything with good Irish whisky Crown Royal whiskey and milk,.....with a side of cottage cheese,..... "Crown Royal",..... it's not just for breakfast anymore,..... Jameson's Irish Whiskey makes the best Irish Coffee...mix 1/2 - 1 shot with a large mug of coffee, add 1 Tsp. Sugar in the Raw, and either squirt on a dollop of RediWhip or top it with homewhipped cream. Just the ticket on a cold winter's night...or a hot summer's night...or a cool fall night...or a nippy spring night. Get the drift? ; ) Obviously you are 12, DO NOT MIX IRISH WHISKEY! That is just insulting. As the first person said it is a sin to hide the taste of good Irish whiskey.

However getting drunk is not good.
So if you want to enjoy the World's Best Whiskey
try it with water, or my prefered method, Club Soda.

To really enjoy it try the best brand "Old Bushmills" from the oldest continually operating distillery in the world.

You can find "Jamesons", an almost equally fine whiskey more places, but that is because it is from the Republic of Ireland (Southern Ireland) while "Old Bushmills" is from Northern Ireland.

Since most american Irish come from Southern /Catholic Ireland, and you know how they get along with the Northern Irish you'll understand why "Jamesons" is more popular.

If you really want to try something wonderfull, try the Irish Liqueurs:

Irish Cream
Over the rocks
Or Mixed with Irish Wiskey or Irish Mist
Or mixed in coffee

Irish Mist
Over the rocks
Or Mixed with Irish Wiskey or Irish Mist
Or mixed in coffee "The perfect" Irish Coffee

Irish Mist is what used to be described as MEAD in all the mythologies, whiskey aged a LONG time with honey.
