Where is the best place to purchase grenadine?
I'm looking to do some mixing with vodka, and many of the recipes call for grenadine. I know I sound ignorant, but I have never used the substance before, though I do know it is a type of syrup. Can I just buy this in any grocery store, and what is the best type to purchase when mixing with vodka? My thanks go out to those who answer sincerely.
Answers: Save your money; Grenadine is just flavorings, colorings and preservatives as a sweet sugary syrup although they say it's made from pomegranates. You can buy it in any supermarket.
Use sweetened cherry juice from a health food store.
I've been a bartender and it's basically just used for Shirley Temples!

its pomagranite syrup(pomagranite juice ,black currant & sugar) grinadine is french for pomagranite.
its a compliment to many drinks.

Roses makes good grenedine and lime juice Grocery store or Liquor store! If you have a local grocery chain store like Kroger's or Mikes, they should have it. Some drive-thru's that sell "diluted" alcohol, sell Grenadine as well. If not, they are sure to have it at your local liquor store.
I recommend Rose's Grenadine. They make the best, in my opinion. It may be a dollar more than another brand, yet it is worth the extra buck.
