Question:

Have you ever tried Ouzo's?

Any receipe for a mixed drink using Ouzo???

Answers: Mix it with equal parts Kahlua and it's called a "Good and Plenty" OUZO CAKE

1 c. chopped walnuts
1 (18 1/2 oz.) lemon cake mix
1 (3 3/4 oz.) instant lemon pudding mix
4 eggs
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/4 c. ouzo

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Sprinkle the walnuts evenly over the bottom of the pan.
Combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and ouzo. Beat for 3 minutes. Pour the batter over the nuts in the tube pan. Bake for 1 hour. Place on a rack to cool for 30 minutes. Invert into a serving plate. Prick with a skewer or a fork and pour on the honey syrup. Let stand at least 1/2 hour and serve.

HONEY SYRUP:

1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 (2 inch) cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
1 c. honey
2 tbsp. ouzo

Combine the sugar, water, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring mixture to boiling and reduce heat. Cook 25 minutes. Stir in honey and strain. Stir in ouzo.

Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends and I used to just do straight shots of Ouzo, because we weren't very creative. I don't think it's intended to be mixed. But beware, last time we drank Ouzo I had some unknown man puking on my living room carpet. It is not a very friendly shot. LOL. the BEST way to have ouzo is taking a shot straight from the bottle while dancing on a table at taverna opa...but if you can't do that:
http://greekfood.about.com/od/tipsnutrit...

has some good recipes. if your friends don't like the taste of straight ouzo they'll like the greek matter scatter. OPA! It's meant to be taken as a shot. Ouzo is a magical rink that will get you drunk so fast its not funny. the best way to drink it is straight up or chilled. when chilled the drink becomes opaque and white. you can also drink it on the rocks
