Does anybody know how to make a GREAT Pomegranate Margarita o the rocks?
Had a awesome one at Lallapalooza in Monterey CA and want to learn how to make one
Answers: If you can get it, PAMA pomegranate liqueur is fantastic:
1 1/2 oz. PAMA
1 1/2 oz. Reposado Tequila
1/2 oz Triple Sec (Cointreau) (Grand Marnier)
1 1/2 Fresh Lime Juice
Dash of sweetner (liquid syrup).
Shake (with ice) and strain over (fresh) ice. You can frost the rim with Graneadine and sugar (To make it a realy girly drink)
The problem with using fresh pomegranate juice is that it is not concentrated enough to balance it's flavor with the tequila so it does need some help. If you can't get PAMA instead of sweetner use greanedine AND 2 oz. of Pomegranate juice. 2 fluid ounces white tequila
1/2 fluid ounce triple sec
1 fluid ounce fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon fresh pomegranate juice
ice
Blend all ingredients in blender until frothy.
Pour into lime and salt garnished margarita glasses add ice
Enjoy!
